Planting a wildlife corridor next to High Wood, Liskeard

Come and have a fun day with us at Protect Earth!

What

Protect Earth is back in the Liskeard area once again! This time, we are planting a wildlife corridor!

The corridor will comprise 450 small saplings, including Hawthorn, Blackthorn, Hazel, Spindle and Crab Apple. We need your help planting this corridor to provide food and shelter for birds, animals and other wildlife.

There is always lots of laughter and the satisfaction of helping the environment and reducing carbon.

When

We'll be planting on:

  • Tuesday, November 21st

  • Where: High Wood, Liskeard, Cornwall

  • Date: 21.11.23

  • Time: 10.00 - 16.00

We usually start the day around 10:00 a.m. with a brief introduction and demonstration on how to plant if you've not planted previously (spoiler - it's easy). The end of the day is usually 4:00 p.m.

Full details will be sent out a week before the event, including the address and where to meet. It is only a mile from the centre of Liskeard, so it is easy to walk or cycle there. There is a small amount of parking available.

What do I need

No previous experience is necessary. We give a brief introduction and demonstrate what needs to be done, and all equipment is provided.

You only need weather-appropriate clothing, solid gloves and boots/wellies, and plenty of food and drink.

There are sheep on site, so please do not bring dogs to this event.

How do I confirm I'd like to go

It's free to attend the day! If you'd like to sign up for a day enjoying and improving the outdoors, please head over to eventbrite using this link to confirm your free place.
