Warleigh Nature Reserve
Drop-in volunteer work parties every Saturday

We will be holding regular work parties every Saturday during the Spring and Summer months at our new Nature Reserve at Warleigh near Bath.
If you would like to be involved you can drop by whenever you have a free Saturday (or half day), no need to let us know you are coming. We will normally meet at 10am by the horsebox at the Northern end of the site and aim to finish by 4pm. If you arrive later there will be a notice at the horsebox to point you in the right direction.
There is a lot to do here with plenty of variety from week to week. Events will be informal with plenty of laughter, and accompanied children are welcome. You don’t need any previous experience as we will show you what to do and we will provide tools and hot drinks.
We recommend that you wear/bring the following:
- Weather appropriate clothing including a hat (long sleeves and trousers are best)
- Gardening gloves or similar (we have a few spares you can borrow)
- Boots, wellies or sturdy shoes (NOT sandals)
- A refillable water bottle and a packed lunch if you are staying all day
- Sunscreen, hand sanitiser and insect repellent.
- If you haven’t been before, please contact us on help@protect.earth for detailed instructions on how to find us, or to be added to the volunteers mailing list.
What if we have to cancel?
We try to avoid cancelling events. However, if a named storm or temperatures in excess of 28C are forecast we will need to cancel for your safety. We will email everyone on the volunteers mailing list to let you know. To unsubscribe, just reply to any email with the word ‘stop’.
Help Protect Earth - Take Action Now
Volunteer
Help us create and maintain new woodlands, hedgerows and wildflower meadows! We need volunteers to sow seeds, plant saplings, clear invasive plant species and pick up litter. No qualifications necessary; jobs for all ages and abilities. Come and turn climate anxiety into climate action!
Fund Our Work
With government funding for reforestation and rewilding tenuous, we increasingly rely on our amazing community to keep us growing regardless of political shifts. Help Protect Earth continue to restore ecosystems and improve biodiversity across the country.
Support the Land Fund
Help us put down roots! Your donations to our Land Fund let us seize the moment when the perfect piece of land comes up for sale. Every penny helps us secure community woodlands, healthier ecosystems, and a greener future for generations to come.
